Agreed! It’s interesting to see other writer’s paths. Mine is a lot different than this.

Well there’s a lot to that question but for me I’m not a sanguine. I’m melancholic, quiet, and I don’t talk to people easy. I’m ex military, work construction, and grew up farming. I still work a full time job, and am raising three kids with my wife and through growing up in life, I’ve found my need for writing. Without all that, I don’t think I’d be here. I do agree the pressure/need to write is definitely there and I get disgruntled if I don’t work both my mind and body on a regular basis.

Thank you ☺️ which part you resonate most? Because everyone’s journey is private and different. I like to tune-in with other writers

what resonates is the polarization you describe. the obsessiveness. the comparison to jazz. these qualities are what literary stylists and critics cannot account for, but true readers can feel it. that calling and that struggle give the combinations of words an internal tension that can not be duplicated. it's why I'm not afraid of AI or plagiarism.

AI can't articulate the internal tension and the struggle. And people who use AI to write are too lazy to get there :)

J, you are indeed a writer. Clear and eloquent. I enjoyed it, and learned it.
